Can I receive continuing education credits for participating in this webinar?

Continuing education credits are available for most live webinars and archived webinars up to one year after their live broadcast. More specific information on the type of continuing education credit and how many credits will be awarded is provided with each webinar. To obtain credit you must provide the requested contact information, participate in the complete webinar, and complete the survey and quiz. If you meet the criteria to receive continuing education credits, your certificate(s) will be emailed to you after participating in the webinar.
 

Do I need special software to access the webinars?

The webinars on this site use Elluminate.  For information on setting up Elluminate visit http://delta.ncsu.edu/lms_services/synchronous_learning/configuration.php.


How do I set up Elluminate and make sure I can connect to a webinar?

Before connecting to Elluminate for the first time, make sure to complete the Configuration setup. You MUST do this at least 24 hours ahead of time.

Please use the same location and equipment that you will use when you attend the
actual Elluminate session(s) to complete the following steps:

1. Go to http://go.ncsu.edu/elluminate_config
2. Make sure Step 1 shows two checkmarks. If you do not see a checkmark, follow
the instructions to obtain the latest version of Java.
3. Enter the Configuration Room as outlined in Step 2. Follow the directions in
the Configuration Room to test your audio setup and set your connection speed.

If you have ANY PROBLEMS configuring Elluminate, call 866-388-8674, option 2.
Elluminate Live! support is available 24 hours day, 7 days a week.

 

Do I need special equipment to participate in the webinar?

If the Elluminate session moderator will be audibly leading the session, at minimum you will need computer speakers to hear the session. If you wish to participate vocally, you will want to use a headset with built-in microphone. Unless you are notified otherwise, you are not required to participate vocally in Elluminate - alternative communication options are available, including text chat.

How do you setup your firewall to work with Elluminate?

To access the Elluminate server at NCSU you need to configure your firewall to allow traffic on the following IP address and ports. IP address: 152.46.3.178 Ports: 80 and 2187 If you need help configuring your firewall you can contact Elluminate technical support at 1-866-388-8674, and choose option #2. This is a toll-free number and a free service. What IP address and Port do I need open to access Elluminate? 

To access the Elluminate server at NCSU you need to configure your firewall to allow traffic on the following IP address and ports.

How do I fix a "VelocityServlet Error"
See this solution from Elluminate support. 

 

I get the error "Connection Failed. Direct call to ... failed."

This message displays when you are prevented from connecting to an Elluminate Live! server to authenticate and join a session. This may be caused by a firewall/proxy or lost Internet connection. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet and that the connection is active. After that, you may need to configure your computers firewall or proxy settings to allow access to Elluminate Live!.
