October 29th, 2009 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM (Eastern)

This webinar will explore the communication skills and concepts that natural resource and extension professionals will find useful to resolve challenges in the wildland-urban interface.

Three situations will be used to explore communication strategies:

  1. I give people information and they just don’t understand it.
  2. I want to tell people what they need to do differently, but they don’t want to hear it.
  3. I explain important things and people don’t believe me; they have other ideas that I can’t change.
This webinar has been approved for 1.5 Continuing Education Credits for the Wildlife Society and 1.5 CFE's for the Society of American Foresters.
