Urban Forestry Projects in the Climate Action Reserve
The Climate Action Reserve has recently released a ground-breaking new protocol for calculating the carbon reductions from urban forestry and is now pleased to offer this webinar specifically focused on developing urban forestry projects.
The Climate Action Reserve ensures the environmental integrity of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction projects and instills confidence and credibility in the U.S. carbon market. It does this by establishing respected reduction project protocols, registering GHG reduction projects, and tracking the transaction of carbon credits in a transparent, publicly-accessible system. The Climate Action Reserve has earned recognition as one of the most highly valued offset registries in the U.S., and now its reach has expanded to the global carbon offset market.
Topics will include:
• An overview of the Reserve
• How protocols are developed
• A detailed look at the Urban Forestry protocol
• Opening an account
• Registering projects
• Verification
• Trading
