DESCRIPTION:There has been unprecedented interest in renewable energy 
 the last several years due to factors such as increasing energy prices
 \, environmental concerns\, and national security.  Now\, with sustain
 ed high-energy costs and the additional impact of Federal and state in
 centives and legislation\, wood-using energy projects are rapidly bein
 g planned and constructed through out the nation creating demand for w
 oody biomass.  Attendees will be presented with an overview of forest-
 based bioenergy\, woody biomass utilization\, and sources of federal a
 nd state assistance.
